Products I Finished This Month - August 2016

Hello readers,
The last few days of summer are winding down. Let's take a look at the products I finished up during the month of August.

Face

I have no idea how I finished so many things. I guess I had a lot on the go simultaneously. My favorite new discovery was tarte cosmetics' Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Setting Powder. So far, this is the best powder I've found to keep me shine free. I've already bought a full-size replacement. I also really liked THEFACESHOP's herb day cleansing foam, Tata Harper's Resurfacing Mask and dr.brant's PoreDermabrason scrub. I didn't like First Aid Beauty's ultra repair cream as a face cream, but I did like it as a hand and body cream. I was disappointed with the fresh Umbrian Clay toner as I didn't find it did anything to mattify my skin. While moisturizing, I found THEFACESHOP's seaweed mask left a greasy residue on my skin. I also didn't like the texture of Clinique's repairwear uplifting face cream. Since it contained SPF I ended up using it as sunscreen.

Hair

The usual shampoos and conditioners are here along with some styling samples which I tried out. The Argan Oil cream smelled delicious but it wasn't as effective as my current products at controlling frizz. The same story applies to the Natural Curl Enhancing Mousse as well. The least effective was Pantene's Silky Moisture Whip. I didn't notice any different in my hair when using it.

Bath & Body

Epsom salts and bubble bath made for some relaxing times this month. I'm almost finished my stockpile of I love... bubble bath gift sets from last Christmas. Hopefully the last few will stretch until they are on sale again. I also finished a mini bottle of Olay's Ultra Moisture shower gel. It was quite nice and had a rich hydrating formula.

Hand &Nails

I finished a bottle of Duri Rejuvocate nail strengthener. I cannot say enough good things about this product. I used it as the first layer in pretty much any manicure. I alternate between this and OPI's Nail Envy so right now I'm working through my bottle of OPI but after than I'll definitely be coming back to Duri. I also finished a bottle of Emerald&Ash cuticle oil. This is my favorite blend but E&A seems to have closed up shop. I'm currently trying out a couple Canadian alternatives.

Happy polishing,

Michelle

    1. I know! Some months there's barely anything and some months (like this ones) there are piles.
