OPI This Color's Making Waves Swatches & Review
Hello readers,
I probably didn't need another metallic teal polish, but the bronzey flakes in this one called to me from the clearance bin at Sally's and somehow it ended up coming home with me.
This Color's Making Waves features a teal metallic base with a subtle blue shift and tiny bronze flakes. The formula was a little tricky. The consistency was good but you can definitely get some mean brush strokes in the finish. I ended up using two coats to get the colour opaque, and then add a careful thin third to minimize brush strokes. I wasn't able to get rid of them all together but they aren't too obvious. Photos show three coats of This Color's Making Waves with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
This polish is very mermaidesque. I do wish the bronze flakes showed up as much on the nail as they did in the bottle but they ended up getting somewhat hidden. You can find OPI on
Happy polishing,
Michelle
