Hello readers,
The holidays are over which means it's time to look at December's empties.
Bath & Body
The favorite this month was the I love... body lotion. It smelled amazing and was quite moisturizing. I also liked the Tocca body scrub but found I did need to use a lot of product per use. I wasn't a big fan of the Gilchrist & Soames body lotion. It was just too heavily scent and floral for my tastes.
Hand & Nails
Moisture was the theme this month. Cold weather means I'm going through tons of hand cream and cuticle oil. I really liked the Crabtree & Evelyn Gardeners hand creme. The Nfu Oh flower oil was quite nice but I found the size too large. The scent went stale about 2/3rds of the way through the bottle even though I used it daily. I continue to be in love with Emerald & Ash cuticle oils and have a stockpile of them in my fridge (to retain scent) waiting to be used.
Face
Lots of face care this month. I really liked the Micahel Todd Honey and Oat cleanser. It was gentle but effective. I also really liked the Julep Glycolic Hand Scrub which I actually used on my face since I prefer grittier scrubs. The Notoriously Morbid Santa Kissers lip balm smelled amazing. It is a lighter balm so may not be enough for the rest of winter, but I do have a bunch of different scents waiting to be used up. I was very disappointed by the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel. It was so runny that it was hard to actually get it on my face. It smelled awful and I didn't notice any difference in my skin even after leaving it on for longer than the recommended time.
Hair
The usuals are here along with a sample of Parlor shampoo. Nothing special, I wouldn't buy it again when there are comparable drugstore alternatives. I really like the Moroccan My Shine conditioner and will probably mix it into my hair care staples.
Happy polishing,
Michelle
