Brand Challenge: Darling Diva Polish

Hello readers,
I'm pulling out some polishes from Darling Diva Polish today; a few of which were some of the earliest indies I owned. Let's take a look at swatches.

For The Honor Of Grayskull

For The Honor Of Grayskull features a variety of gold and holo gold glitters in a clear base. The formula was relatively easy to work with. I used three coats here and while not quite full coverage, the glitter kind of takes over to make it seem so, especially in bright lighting. You'll want top coat here as this dries down with a fair bit of texture. When Doves Cry

When Doves Cry features a pale grey base with scatter holo shimmer, tiny silvery flakes and a sprinkling tiny silver glitters. The formula was easy to work with though a tad sheer. If you look closely you can see my nail lines peaking through. Photos show three coats of When Doves Cry with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Zen Pool

Zen Pool features an aqua blue crelly base with a soft turquoise shimmer, tiny aqua glitters, small blue glitters, a variety of white hexes and fuchsia dots. The formula was easy to work with though you may need to nudge some of the larger glitters occasionally. Top coat is recommended with this one. Crabsody In Blue

Crabsody In Blue features a black jelly base filled with small indigo glitters. The formula was super easy to work with and took three coats for an opaque squishy finish. Photos show three coats of Crabsody in Blue with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Dangerous Driver

Dangerous Driver features a mix of scatter holo shimmer and red to green shifting shimmer in a clear base. I used it as a topper here and got good coverage in a single coat. Ringer

Ringer features red to green shifting shimmer and tiny coppery-red flakes in a clear base. Another nice topper to work with. Photos show One Coat of Ringer over OPI Fly with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Final Thoughts

My personal favorites of this group are Crabsody In Blue and Ringer. Unfortunately Darling Diva Polish is no longer in business, so you'll have to hunt for their polishes in destashes.
