Hello readers,
Today I'm continuing to shop my Reverie Nail Lacquer collection. Let's take a look at swatches.
MP-175

MP-175 features a teal green jelly base filled with assorted glitters in shades of white, pink, orange, blue, purple and gold. The formula was relatively easy to work with, especially for a glitter. I used three coats here over a translucent white peel off base coat. As was expected it dried down with some texture so I used two coats of top coat for a smooth finish. Winter Blossoms

Winter Blossoms features a pale purple jelly base with a pink iridescent flecked shimmer and a variety of glitters in shades of pink, purple, coral, red and yellow. The formula was relatively easy to work with. I got full coverage with three coats over a translucent white peel off base coat. MP 031

MP 031 features a teal-leaning green jelly base filled with an iridescent blue flecked shimmer and a variety of glitters in shades of white, silver, green and blue. The formula was relatively easy to work with and took three coats for 95% coverage. Technically my nail lines still show through a little but the glitters break them up nicely. MP-136

MP-136 features a blue tinted base packed with shimmer and glitters in shades of silver, pink, blue, green and yellow. The formula was surprisingly easy to work with considering how much glitter is in there. I used two coats for full coverage. This dries down with some glitter texture so two coats of top coat was needed for a nice smooth finish. Rosebud

Rosebud features a rosy pink tinted base filled with glitters in shades of aqua, pink yellow, red and white. The formula was another easy to work with glitter. This dries down with some texture so you'll need at least one good coat of top coat. Wild Wisteria

My bottle of Wild Wisteria features an off-white crelly base filled with small silver-y iridescent flecks with reflects of violet and blue. I say 'my bottle' because the original polish had pale muted purple base. Mine must have faded. The formula was alright. I was able to get full coverage in three coats, though I had to wait some extra time between them to avoid dragging. Final Thoughts
My personal favorite of the group is MP-136. It is the perfect full coverage glitter. Unfortunately Reverie Nail Lacquer isn't around anymore so you'll have to search destashes for their polishes.
Happy polishing,
Michelle
I really miss Reverie. I sincerely hope she comes back someday. I'll have to check my bottle of Wild Wisteria, haven't worn it in a while, but it was definitely purple when I bought it.
ReplyDeleteShe did make great glitters and glitter crellies/jellies. My bottle of Wild Wisteria was sitting on a shelf, though not in direct sunlight, so not quite sure what happened there. I know purple pigments seem to be more prone to fading than others.
DeleteOh wow. Amazing. I really love the glitters :-D
ReplyDeleteGlitters were definitely Reverie's niche. It's certainly a brand that I wish was still open.
