Hello readers,
Today I have The Maritime Myths Collection from Live Love Polish to share with you. This collection features everything from thermals to glitters in ocean lore inspired shades. Let's take a look at swatches.
Starfish
Starfish a medium red-leaning pink (cold) to cream (warm) thermal base filled with gold flecked shimmer, small violet iridescent glitters and a sprinkling of small holo glitters. The formula was easy to work with taking three coats for full coverage. This dries with a little bit of texture so top coat is recommended for a smooth finish. Doubloon
Doubloon features a clear base with large holo gold flakes . The formula was a bit finicky. I found that the ratio of base to flakes was quite high which meant I had to a fair bit of dabbing to get good coverage of flakes on my nails. I didn't have any issues with the flakes sticking up, but I still recommend top coat of a nice smooth finish. Sun Glitter
Sun Glitter features a clear based filled with small metallic silver flakes. In some lighting this shade looks like a true silver, in some a tinge of cool toned gold comes through as well. The formula was easy to work with. I used three coats here. However, after adding the third I decided that the it wasn't really necessary and that two looked just as good. Sea Witch
Sea Witch features a deep purple (cold) to medium dusty blue (warm) thermal base with orange iridescent glitters, small gold glitters and holo check glitters. The formula was easy to work with. Two coats will get you full coverage in the cold state, but I needed three for the warm blue state. If you have shorter nails or a less distinct nail line, two will likely be enough for you. This dries to a waxy finish with a bit of texture so top coat is definitely recommended. Kraken
Kraken features a clear base packed with fine silver shimmer, metallic multichrome flakes in shades of blue, green and purple and a sprinkling of tiny gold glitters. The formula was easy to work with taking three coats for full coverage, though two may be enough for those with shorter nails or a less distinct nail line. This shade dries down with a little bit of textures so top coat is recommended for a nice smooth finish. Atlantis
Atlantis features a clear base packed with tiny silver holo glitters and green and blue metallic flakies. The formula was easy to apply though I recommend waiting longer than normal between coats to avoid dragging. This dries relatively smooth and shiny on its own but top coat really just pulls everything together. If you don't want to build it up to full coverage, this shade would also make a great topper over a different base colour. Conclusion
My personal favorites of this collection are Kraken and Atlantis. Sun Glitter is also a great option if you're looking for that super shiny metallic finish. The Maritime Myths collection is available now. You can find Live Love Polish on
