Hello readers,
Today I have Hello Waffle Cosmetics' August Visage box to share with you. This month's selection was inspired by the movie The Road To El Dorado and includes a mix of neutral and bold shades. Let's take a look at swatches.
Hello Waffle Cosmetics Definitly Off-Limits! Eyeshadow
Definitly Off-Limits! is a deep blurple with with gold and copper flecks. You'll definitely want to use this over a sticky primer to keep those flecks glued down.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics To Err Is Human Eyeshadow
To Err Is Human is rich burnt orange with a sprinkling of gold sparks. When worn without primer (as shown below) the finish is mostly matte with some pops of gold here and there. If you wear it over primer the orange becomes deeper and bolder and the gold sheen is stronger.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Wonders Of The New World Eyeshadow
Wonders Of The New World is a cornflower blue with with orange to pink shifting shimmer. While a beautiful colour in the jar, the formula of this shadow and I did not get along. I found it went somewhat muddy and patchy over primer, but was far too sheer without. I tried swatching it over a regular primer (Urban Decay Primer Potion) and a glitter primer (Too Faced Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue - shown below) with similar results.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics For Glory, For Gold Blush
For Glory, For Gold is a shimmer medium pink. The formula was nicely pigmented and can be built up (like in the swatch below) or sheered out as needed.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Year Of The Jaguar Highlight
Year Of The Jaguar looks like your standard peach-beige highligher in the jar, but once applied it reveals a cool toned silver sheen. I thought for sure I would already have a dupe in my collection but after swatching a bunch of similar shades up my arm, I wasn't able to find any that were exactly the same.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Speaker For The Gods Lipstick
Speaker For The Gods is a sheer to medium coverage coral pink lip colour. I did have a little trouble getting the tube to twist up at first, but warming it slightly by tucking it in my bra while I swatched the eyeshadows solved that problem.

Brija Cosmetics The Trail We Blaze Eyeshadow
How could there be a Road To El Dorado themed box without a gold? Brija Cosmetics was August's guest indie and they took care of bringing the gold. While this isn't a new to me brand, this is the first eye product I've tried from Brija. The Trail We Blaze is a warm shimmery gold. In certain lighting it gets a hint of green undertones as well. The formula was excellent; super pigmented and super easy to apply. Use this over primer to get the most out of the metallic finish.

Conclusion
My personal favorites this month were the Year Of The Jaguar highlight and Brija Cosmetics' The Trail We Blaze eyeshadow. You can find Hello Waffle Cosmetics on
