Today I have the Live Love Polish On The Cover collection to share with you. This collection features six holo polishes in a wide range of colours. Let's take a look at swatches.
Casting Call
Casting Call is a pale silver linear holo. The formula was quite easy to work with though it was very sheer. After three coats I can still see my nail lines showing through, so this shade is probably better for those with shorter nails or a less distinct nail line. Issues
Issues features a bright cherry red base with fine flecked holo shimmer. The formula was great and took two coats for full coverage. It dries with a squishy finish which I love. Photos show two coats of Issues with one coat of Live Love Polish Quick Dry Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Editorial
Editorial features a deep burgundy base with a holo shimmer. The formula was very easy to work with and took two coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Editorial with one coat of Live Love Polish Quick Dry Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Close-up
Close-up features a grape purple base with a fine flecked holo shimmer. No formula issues with this one. It took three thin coats for full coverage, though it was so close in two that I imagine for those with shorter nails, two will be enough. This as the same lovely squishy finish as Issues. Layout
Layout is a teal leaning green linear holo. The formula was very easy to work with. I used two coats here, though I do see my nail lines showing through a tiny bit in these brightly lit photos. A third might have been necessary for super opaque coverage. Photos show two coats of Layout with one coat of Live Love Polish Quick Dry Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Lookbook
Lookbook is a deep cobalt blue linear holo. No issues with the formula and it took two coats for full coverage. This shade dried a little less shiny on its own that the rest of the collection, so I do recommend using top coat with it if shine is your thing. Conclusion
My personal favorites are Lookbook and Close-up. Except for Casting Call, which I found too sheer, all of these shades are good holo options. The On The Cover Collection is available exclusively on Live Love Polish. You can find L.L.P. on
