Hello readers,
Today I have one of the shades from Born Pretty Store's Chameleon Polish collection to share with you. The extra green glitters in #33 made it a bit different from multichromes I already owned, so I decided to give it a try.
Chameleon #33 is a sheer green to purple shifting shimmer with a couple sizes of small green hex glitters. It is meant to be worn over a dark base to really make the shimmer and shift pop. I started with Sally Hansen Black Out, a black creme, and then added two coats of Chameleon #33 over top. The formula was easy to work with and dried smoothly. Green is definitely the predominant colour, especially in bright lighting. However, there is some shift to purple that comes out in shaded lighting. Photos show two coats of Chameleon #33 over Sally Hansen Black out with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
... and a couple shots in more shaded lighting.
I have mixed feelings about this polish. Is it a nice vampy shimmery shifter? Yes. However, the swatches I based my choice on show a much more vibrant finish and a really strong shift from green to purple to fuchsia which just isn't there. For the price I think there are some nicer multichromes out there which you can dress up with a glitter topper. You can find Born Pretty Store on
Happy polishing,
Michelle
