Hello readers, Today I have some nail art I did using a selection of shades from the Essie Silk Watercolors collection. Sure, it may be fall outside... but that means it's spring somewhere in the world and my pastel nails can just pretend to be there right now.
To create this look I started with a base of White Page. This was pretty decent white. The key seamed to be to leave a larger bead of polish on the brush and then float it up the nail instead of trying for thin coats. Thin coats lead to streaks but the slightly thicker coats self-leveled to an even finish. I used two coats to reach opacity. Then I light dipped a fan brush in No Shrinking Violet and drew it across half my nail. Repeat with Pen & Inky on the other half of the nail, top coat, and you're done! Here's the final look.
I'm really happy with how these turned out a love that the sheer colours appear nice and bright over the white instead of washed out. You can find Essie on:
Happy polishing,
Michelle
