Today I have a polish I got during Elevation Polish's labor day sale. I will fully admit that brown is not a polish colour I usually go for. The flecked shimmer plus sale price convinced me to give this one a try.
Grotte et Cascade features a chocolate brown crelly base with purple and blue flecked shimmer. The formula was easy to work with and became opaque in two coats. Unfortunately (for me), the shimmer which I was drawn to is a lot stronger in the bottle than on the nail. Next time I think I'll add one more coat and swipe it with acetone to bring it out more. Photos show two coats of Grotte et Cascade with one coat of Nubar Diamont top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
While I haven't fallen in love with brown polish, I can definitely see this one in combo with jewel tones in some nail art. You can find Elevation Polish on:
