Spots And Stripes Oh My!
Hello everyone. Today's post is going to be short and sweet. My Picture Polish Hope manicure from the weekend was still going strong today so I decided to add some spots and stripes to change things up. I chose Ruby White Tips The Polish With No Name and Mermaid Dreams for the main accents and then added a little shimmer with B.B.Kiddo.

Picture Polish Hope Swatches & Review
Today I have an absolutely amazing polish to show you. I know, I know... I say I love pretty much every polish I show you but seriously, this one is extra amazing. Picture Polish Hope is a deep blue jelly with teal micro glitter, holographic micro glitter and handful of small blue hexes.
This formula was flawless and reaches opacity in two coats. Despite containing lots of glitter it dried to a glassy sheen. I only added a thin top coat to avoid chipping. I didn't actually realize that there was some holographic glitter in this polish until I went outside to take the swatch pictures. In indoor lighting or shade it's the teal microglitter that shows most.

I just can't stop staring at my nails because this polish is so pretty. Pictures show two coats of Picture Polish Hope with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat. The one on the bottom left shows the polish in shade where the teal microglitter stands out. The rest are in direct sunlight where you can see the holographic microglitter come to life. Picture Polishes are a bit pricey but this one is worth every penny. The colour and glitter combinations are perfect and it has one of the best formulas for a glitter polish that I have ever tried. think I'm going to have to try some more polishes from this brand in the future. What's expensive polish do you have that you think is worth the price?

Pahlish Dark Paradise Swatches & Review
When I first saw Dark Paradise on in the Pahlish shop I almost didn't add it to my order. There was part of me that said 'well, I own purple jelly polish and I own colour shifting glitter, so I should be able to recreate this with what I already have'. Something convinced me that I needed it anyways. The flat shipping rate to Canada definitely helped too. Today is the first time I've worn it and let me tell you, I am so happy that I decided to buy it because it is amazing!!!
Dark Paradise is a dark blurple jelly packed with a multitude of colour shifting glitter in various shapes and sizes as well as fine purple micro glitter. When it's on your nails the copper side of the glitter is predominant but if you look at it from a steep angle it changes to a bright turquoise. You can see the shift best in the bottle shot with the copper showing in the center and the turquoise showing at the edges.
The formulas was easy to work with and I got the polish opaque after three coats. It also dried very smoothly and I only added a thin top coat to help prevent chipping. Now let me bombard you with swatch pictures.
Photos show three coats of Dark Paradise with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat in natural sunlight. I love the shimmer in this polish. It's not something that I could have replicated by layering polishes I already own. The larger colour shifting glitters just appear to float in the jelly base. The overall effect is just beautiful. Swirly Nail Stamping
Have you ever finished a new mani where you can't decide whether you love it or hate it? I'm definitely having one of those days. I took yesterday's Pretty Serious Party By The Pool mani and stamped little white swirls using bundle monster's BM-201 plate. I then added a tiny dot of Picture Polish Paradise at the center of each swirl.
I theory I should love this. I like the colour combo and I like the stamping design, but when I look at it I just think 'blah'. I think this is going to be a short lived manicure. Don't you hate when you put work into a design and then it comes out not as great as you had anticipated?

Pretty Serious Party By The Pool Swatches & Review
Time for a mani in my favorite colour, teal! Problem is, my camera does not like teal one bit. It wants to turn it blue. So, you might be looking at my swatch pictures and thinking that my skin colour seems....off. That's because I adjusted to colour in the photos so that the polish looks as close to real life as I could get it, because, the polish is what you came here to see!
Onto the actual polish! Pretty Serious Creature crush is a beautiful teal jelly base filled with teal and blue micro glitter. Seriously, I think this is one of my favorite teal polishes out of all the ones I own.... and I own a lot of teal polishes.
After three coats this polish is about 90% opaque. If you look closely you can still see the nail line, but who's really looking that closely at your nails. The polish was easy to apply. The only downside is that it did take longer than average to dry. I think this is a characteristic of jelly polishes in general.

Hello everyone! Today I have a new polish from the Pretty & Polished candy themed collection, Lollipops And Gumdrops. This polish features a rainbow of large and medium round glitter mixes with lots of white bar glitter in a clear base that's tinted slightly pink.
These glitters are heavy and sink to the bottom of the bottle so I rested my bottle upside down for a while before applying the polish. I still found it did take a fair amount of work to actually get the glitter out though. I also had to close the bottle and turn it upside down again in between each nail. Also, the dabbing method was needed to get the glitter distributed evenly over my nails.
Photos show one coat of Lollipops And Gumdrops over China Glaze Shower Together in natural sunlight. I did not use a top coat. While the bar and circle glitter give a cute lollipop effect, I don't think this is a polish I will be using very often. It just takes too much work to get a good amount of glitter on your nails. I also think the glitter:base ratio was a bit low. To get a reasonable amount of glitter on my nails I ended up with quite a thick layer of the clear base and this meant it took a long time to dry. Because of the large sinking glitters, this polish is not listed on the Pretty & Polished website. However, you can still purchase this polish by emailing directly at prettyandpolishedllc@gmail.com. Lucky 13 Lacquer Softening The Bad Things - Polish For A Good Cause
Happy Tuesday everyone. Hope all of your weeks are off to a good start. Yesterday evening I was browsing facebook and this beautiful polish popped up on my newsfeed from Lucky 13 Lacquer. A gorgeous pale blue jelly with medium and large gold hexes, and tiny
bronze glitters. These colours are inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's Sunflowers.
These polishes will go on sale around 2PM pacific time on July 29th. This is a limited edition colour with 16 full size and 10 shortie size bottles available. Each will come with it's own numbered label, i.e. "10 of 26", so each bottle will be unique. Bottle #13 is staying with the creator but the rest will be sold. Full bottles will cost $9.50 and shorties will be $7.
Why are these $1 more expensive than the rest of Lucky 13's polishes? For each bottle, $1 will go to the National Alliance on Mental Illness. That means once the bottles are sold $25 will go to NAMI. Lucky 13 Lacquer is matching that, which makes it $50. I have offered to match the $25 as well. Anyone can sign on as a donation matcher. If you're interested, just send Kyoti a message of facebook or send her an email via the Lucky 13 Lacquer shop. Gotta love a gorgeous polish for a good cause!
