Indigo Bananas Acid Ocean Swatches & Review
Hello readers,
I hope my fellow Canadians had a wonderful long weekend and the rest of you non-Canadians had a wonderful regular weekend. Today I have one of the polish from Indigo Bananas Summer Rains collection to show you. This was my polish of choice for my very first day at my new job. Luckily the office is very casual so I can wear whatever colours I want.
Acid Ocean features a teal jelly base packed with aqua to green colour shifting flakies and bronze shimmer. After the first coat I was a bit worried it would be patchy and hard to get opaque but it ended up building up really nicely. I used three coats and it is only slightly sheer in very bright lighting. The formula dried completely smooth. Photos show three coats of Acid Ocean with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat in natural lighting.
This polish is really pretty. In some lighting it looks more green and in others more aqua. I bought two other polish from this collection and can't wait to try them too. You can find Indigo Bananas at:

Summer Of Untrieds Day 28: Shimmer - SuperChic Lacquer Hot Springs Dipping Hole & Indigo Bananas Electric Unicorns featuring Neverland Lacquers Nail Stencils
Disclaimer: These nail stencils were offered at no charge to manicuremanifesto.com in exchange for published reviews. All reviews are fair, honest and reflect my personal opinion.
Hello readers,
Today I have another mani trying out some nail stencils from Neverland Lacquers. I combined it with my shimmer polishes for day 28 of the summer of untrieds polish to get a nice wavy accent nail.
Hot Springs Dipping Hole features a sky blue base with tons of blue shimmer and pink microflakes. The formula was easy to apply and took three coats to become opaque. It does dry somewhat matte so you'll need a top coat if you want a glossy finish. I then used the Neverland Lacquers wave stencils to add stripes of Electric Unicorn which has a medium purple base packed with green shimmery microflakes. Finally, I used my silver nail art striper to add thin waves in between the stenciled waves. Everything was then topped off with one coat of HK Girl. Photos show the above mani in natural lighting.
I love the flecked finish of both these polishes but the pink shimmer in Hot Springs Dipping Hole was very difficult to capture on camera. I'm also really happy with how the wave design turned out. Now that I'm getting the hang of the nail stencils they're becoming quite easy to use. The key is the get the accent polish on fast and then pull off the stencils while the accent polish is still completely wet.
Happy polishing,
Michelle

Indigo Bananas 2% Butterscotch Ripple Swatches & Review
Hello readers!
A few months ago I won a giveaway from The Crumpet and I was lucky enough to be able to choose three polishes from a brand I've been eyeing for a long time, Indigo Bananas. Now, there are about a bajillion beautiful blues, teals and purples which I was instantly drawn to, but I wanted to broaden my colour collection and picked some shades that were different for me. The first of these polishes is 2% Butterscotch Ripple.
This polish features a purple jelly base packed (and I mean packed!) with this amazing copper coloured glitter. Depending on lighting and angle the copper changed to green and sometimes even blue. The formula was great and I had no issues with getting the glitter to apply evenly. The polish dried quite smoothly as well. Photos show three coats of 2% Butterscotch Ripple with one coat of Seche Vite in natural lighting.
This polish has so much sparkle. My camera was slightly blinded when I tried to take pictures in direct sunlight. I love this polish and I can't wait to try the other two that I won. It seems Indigo Bananas is going to be yet another brand I'm going to have to resist giving all my money to. You can find Indigo Bananas on:
