Today I have five new Chicago inspired shimmery shades from Paint It Pretty Polish to share with you. These will be first released at this year's Polish & Beauty Expo in Chicago and then available later in the month from Paint It Pretty's shop. Let's take a look at swatches
City Lights, Chicago Nights
City Nights, Chicago Lights features a lilac purple tinted base with a pink-gold-green shifting shimmer. The formula was nice to work with and after three coats I got almost full coverage. My nail lines show through a tiny bit but the shimmer mostly covers that up. Don't mind the small bubbles, they're not due to the polish itself. I did these swatches during the middle of a heat wave and the humidity took its toll. Sunrise At The Bean
Sunrise At The Bean features a bright pink base tinted base filled with a glowing peach-copper-gold shimmer. Three coats got me full coverage and a glowy shimmery finish. Photos show three coats of Sunrise At The Bean with one coat of Baroness X Hydromancy top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
The River Runs Backwards
The River Runs Backwards features a vibrant cornflower blue base filled with a strong pink-gold-green shimmer. Another nice three coat formula here. Not quite full coverage on me technically, but close enough for my tastes. The Windy City
The Windy City features a sky blue base filled with a strong pink-gold-green shimmer. Three coats gave me practically full coverage. Other than under my bright lightbox lights it looked perfectly opaque to my eyes. Skyline Views
Skyline Views features a flamingo pink tinted base filled with a strong peach-gold shimmer. In shaded lighting I also saw a shift to green on my nails. Three coats gave me decent coverage. While not 100% opaque when the light catches the shimmer you don't see your nail lines. Final Thoughts
My personal favorites from this release is The Windy City; I do love a good blue.
