Hello readers,
Today I have the last set of untried polishes from my Reverie Nail Lacquer collection to share with you. Let's take a look at swatches.
Polar Night
Polar Night features a purple jelly bae filled with a variety of glitter in shades of blue, orange, silver and gold. The formula was relatively easy to work with, especially for a chunky glitter polish. I used three coats here for full coverage. It does dry down with some glitter bumps so you may need to double up on top coat for a nice smooth finish. Photos show three coats of Polar Night with one coat of Watcha Top Glitter smoothing top coat and one coat of CND Vinylux Weekly Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Nightfall
Nightfall features a pale purple tinted base filled with scatter holo shimmer and tiny iridescent aqua flecks. The formula was easy to work with though a tad sheer. After three coats my lines still show through a bit in bright lighting. Photos show three coats of Nightfall with one coat of CND Vinylux Weekly Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Berry Sorbet
Berry Sorbet features a purple tinted base filled with glitters in shades of red, yellow, purple and blue. The formula was easy to work with though sheer. I used three coats here. You'll probably want to double up on top coat due to the largest glitters. Photos show three coats of Berry Sorbet with one coat of Watcha Top Glitter smoothing top coat and one coat of CND Vinylux Weekly Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
MP-024
MP-024 features a dark purple jelly base filled with small iridescent blue flecks and glitters in shades white, blue, orange and yellow. The formula was excellent and very easy to work with. This does dry down with some glitter bumps so an extra coat of top coat is recommended for a perfect smooth finish. Photos show three coats of MP-024 with one coat of Watcha Top Glitter smoothing top coat and one coat of CND Vinylux Weekly Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Rubellite
Rubellite features a berry jelly base filled with berry microglitters and small iridescent indigo glitters. The formula was nice to work with and took three coats for full coverage. It does dry down with some microglitter texture so doubling up on top coat is recommended for a smooth shiny finish. Photos show three coats of Rubellite with one coat of Watcha Top Glitter smoothing top coat and one coat of CND Vinylux Weekly Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Harvest Moon
Harvest Moon features a berry pink jelly base filled small gold flecks and a variety of glitters in shades of blue, pink and copper. I used three coats for full coverage here. It does dry down with glitter bumps so an coat of top coat is recommended. Photos show three coats of Harvest Moon with one coat of Watcha Top Glitter smoothing top coat and one coat of CND Vinylux Weekly Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Final Thoughts
My personal favorite of the group is Rubellite. Unfortunately Reverie Nail Lacquer isn't in business anymore so you'll have to search destashes for their polishes.
Happy polishing,
Michelle
I have a bunch of these, I loved Reverie, and was so sad when they closed. one of my favorites is Fresa. Lovely swatches
ReplyDeleteSo did I. She did glitter jellies so well! I think my overall favorite is a mystery prototype I got (MP-136).
DeleteI was so excited at the start then so disappointed at the end. :( I doubt I've ever snatch these up anywhere but the glitters are amazing!
ReplyDeleteIt is the way of the indie world unfortunately, brands tend to come and go. I do feel like glitters are making a bit of a come back recently though in general.
DeleteThese are amazing glitters :-D
