DRK Nails Clingy Base Coat Review

Born Pretty Store Multichrome flakie

Hello readers,
Today I have my first try using the DRK Nails Clingy Base that I bought from June's Polish Pickup to share with you. Let's take a look at swatches.

Born Pretty Store Chameleon Flakes

I started with a completely dry base of Picture Polish Saphira. Then I added a thin coat of DRK Nails Clingy Base and let it dry down for a minute. To apply the flakies I used a sponge applicator to dab them onto a stamper head and then once I had covered a big enough area, pressed the flakies onto the tacky base coat with the stamper. Because non-gel top coats tend to dull shifty flakies like this, I skipped top coat all together. Photos shown were taken in daylight spectrum lighting.

Final Thoughts

Overall I'm very pleased with the look. I do find that without top coat the flakies do wear off a bit over time. However, after a day I feel like I had more left on my nails with the DRK Nails Clingy Base than when I've tried the same approach with regular base coat. You can find DRK Nails on

Happy polishing,

Michelle
