Hello readers,
Today I have Hello Waffle Cosmetics' January Visage box to share with you. This month's selection features a woodsy palette with lots of greens and golds inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien's Beren and Luthien. Let's take a look at swatches.
Hello Waffle Cosmetics Evening Under Moonrise Eyeshadow
Evening Under Moonrise is a very sparkly periwinkle blue with purple undertones. This one definitely benefits from primer to keep that shimmer and sparkle in place.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Nightingale's Song Eyeshadow
Nightingale's Song features a very pale greyed out green base with a very strong gold shimmer. The overall effect is a pale muted chartreuse green. You could sheer this out and use it as a unique highlighter too.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics The Empty-Handed Eyeshadow
The Empty-Handed is a deep matte forest green with subtle blue undertones. The formula was nicely pigmented and built up to full coverage easily.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics The Iron Crown Eyeshadow
The Iron Crown is a deep, almost black, charcoal grey with a strong bronze shimmer. Another pigmented formula though I recommend primer to bring out that shimmer.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Beyond The Western Sea Liquid Highlighter
Beyond The Western Sea is a pale gold-green liquid highlighter. I didn't blend it out a ton in the swatch below so you could get a good sense of the colour. You could definitely keep it like this on your cheeks or sheer it out further. I find it easiest to blend it out with my fingertips after dabbing on a few dots with the doe-foot applicator.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Release From Bondage Lipstick
Release From Bondage is a deep brown leaning mauve. This shade was quite pigmented and only takes a swipe or two for full coverage. The formula has a subtle cocoa scent, though I didn't notice it lingering after application.

Detrivore Cosmetics Hound Of Valinor Blush
This month's guest indie was Detrivore Cosmetics. They contributed Hound Of Valinor, a medium matte mauve blush.
