Birchbox Canada July 2015 Unboxing & Review

Hello readers,
My July Birchbox just arrived in the mail.  This month they teamed up with best health to curate the box.  Let's see what was inside.

RUSK Hair Care Heatshift | Full-size $22

This product is a complete miss for me.  It says it works best when combined with heated styling tools.  However, in my Birchbox profile I said I usually let my hair air dry.  These two things do not go together.  This sample is worth $6.47

Gilchrist & Soames Spa Therapy Body Lotion | Full-size $18

Not the most exciting sample in the world but it something I will use up eventually.  I have so many mini body lotions to work through.  This sample is worth $3.04.

Acure Organics Brightening Facial Scrub | Full-size $14.99

I do love a good exfoliant so this is probably my favorite product of the box.  It's a good size too for a sample.  This sample is worth $3.75.

Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Mascara | Full-size $29

I don't wear mascara, so this won't get used by me.  However, I know lots of people were hoping to get this product so I know I'll be able to swap it.  This sample is worth $9.67.

theBalm cosmetics Balm Desert | Full-size $21

This product is described as a bronzer/blush by Birchbox... but really, it's a bronzer.  I don't use bronzer so will end up swapping this.  It is quite dark too.  This sample is worth $2.61.

Conclusion
The total value of this month's box was $25.54 which is more than the $14.95 I paid including shipping.  However, I'll use so few of this months products that it really wasn't worth it.  Hopefully next month will be more in line with the preferences I put in my profile.  If you want to find out more check out the Birchbox Canada website.  Don't forget to review your box items for an extra $5 in Birchbox points.

Happy polishing,
