Products I Finished This Month - July 2014

Hello readers, Summer is flying by and August definitely sneaked up on me. How is already almost half done?? Here are my empties from July and my thoughts on each of the products.

Shower Gel
This month I finished up a jumbo bottle of The Body Shop's Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel.  I love this line of shower gels.  They smell great and I especially love the citrus scents for the mornings.  I would definitely purchase this again.

Body Lotions
I finished three different body lotions this month.  The first is Yves Rocher Ming Shu Perfumed Body Lotion.  I wasn't a huge fan of this one.  The scent really didn't do it for me and the lotion itself was quite runny.  The other two are sample lotions I got from a Sweet Delights Divalicious sample box.  The dso soaps and such tropical freesia lotion smelled quite nice and was nice and thick like a body butter.  The only issue I had with this is that since it was so thick it was hard to get out of the squeeze bottle.  A tub would have been a much better option.  The Koch Coco Lemon lotion was also more like a body butter making it quite difficult to get out of the packaging.  I wasn't a huge fan of this.  I originally thought it was coconut lemon, which sounds delicious.  However, it was coco - as in chocolate coco - which doesn't mix with lemon will in my opinion.

Hair Products
I finished another bottle of Tousle Me Softly Hairspray from Herbal Essences.  I really like this spray for day to day hair.  I bought a bottle of the Naked Hairspray from Herbal Essences to replace it to see if it does as good of a job.

Lip Balms
The two balms I finished this month were The Body Shop's Cocoa Butter Lip Care Stick and Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm (who's label came off).  The cocoa butter lip care stick smelled delicious but I found it sat on top of my lips rather than absorbing.  If you're lips are in need of some TLC I think the Burt's Bees balm does a better job of hydrating and protecting.  I've already purchases another to keep in my purse.

Face Wash
I finished another bottle of my go to face wash, The Body Shop'sTea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash.  I really like that this wash cleanses without over drying and helps keep breakouts to a minimum.  I will definitely purchase it again.

Other Facial Care
I finished off three clinique samples this month.  Both the repairwear products were very gently and nice on my skin.  I don't have wrinkles yet (thankfully) so it's not something that I would purchase at this point in time.  The clarifying lotion (which is really a toner) was quite nice as well.  It didn't dry out my skin and was great for giving my face a refreshing cleanse at the end of the day.  I'm currently using a different brand but would definitely consider this one in the future.

Masks and Scrubs
The Body Shop's Tea Tree Face Mask is a great clay mask.  My skin feels so soft after using in and I sometimes use it as a spot treatment on pimples.  I will definitely buy it again.  Yves Rocher's Tradition De Hammam scrub is my favorite scrub.  (I realize it doesn't look empty but that's just because I reused the container).  It has a good grit to it so it gets the job done and helps reveal nice soft skin.  I use it both on my body and face.  I will be buying another one of these.

Soap
Last is a bar of Apple Pie Handcrafted Soap from Presque Isle Soap Company.  This is another item I got in a Sweet Delights Divalicious sample box.  I don't usually buy bar soap so I ended up using this as shaving lather.  It did have a nice scent to it but since I prefer liquid soaps I won't be purchasing it again.

Happy polishing,

Michelle
