Lemming Level Unlocked: Max Factor Fantasy Fire

Hello readers! Today I have a longtime lemming to show you. Max Factor Fantasy Fire is not available in North America so I didn't think I'd ever get my hands on it. However, the stars aligned when I was matched with someone from the UK who just happened to be traveling to Canada for a polish exchange. She so thoughtfully carried this awesome polish across the Atlantic just for me!

Please forgive my not perfectly cleaned up cuticles and the fact that I apparently forgot to moisturize before taking these photos.  I was just so excited to finally have it on my fingers and wanted to get some pictures in the sun before it set.  (Now that winter is upon us I have a narrow window of about 20 minutes when I get home from work before it gets dark).  So without further ado, here are the many faces of Fantasy Fire!

 Sunlight

All photos show four coats of Fantasy Fire with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat.  In sunlight (above) this polish is a vibrant grape-ey purple with a copper-purple shimmer that seems to make the polish glow.

Incandescent + Fluorescent Lighting

In incandescent and fluorescent lighting the polish looks like a darker plum purple.  The shimmer is more coppery and seems a bit more granulated.

Halogen Lighting

Finally, in halogen lighting the base becomes a vibrant plum and the shimmer just explodes. 

Indirect Sulight

There were also occasions where the shimmer turned from copper to green in indirect sunlight.  At extreme angles you also get hints of a rich blue.  It took me three days of trying but I was finally able to capture the blue-green shimmer.  I also added one coat of Julep Percy to my ring finger.

Conclusion

This polish definitely lived up to the hype. If you know someone who's hopping across the pond you should nicely ask beg them to pick you up a bottle or two... or five. You won't regret it.
