Hello readers!  I've been busy this week putting together a post featuring the first four polishes from my Glittering Elements order.  The dark overcast weather outside made taking pictures of all these holo's a little tricky but I did my best.  So, who's ready for some yummy shimmery polishes?? I know I am!

Turn It Off

Turn it off is a rich teal leaning blue with a shimmery linear holo.  The formula was great and easy to apply.  This polish has enough holo that you definitely get a rainbow of colours on your nails but not so much that it overpowers the blue-teal base.  Photos show three coats with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat.

Star Dust

Star Dust is a glitter topper packed with holographic silver glitter and shimmer in a variety of sizes.  I LOVE this shimmery concoction.  It was easy to apply and I didn't need to do any dabbing.  It was also not too difficult to remove since it's more shimmer than large glitter.  Photos show one coat of Star Dust over Turn It Off with one coat of Seche Vite.

Secret Keeper

Secret Keeper is a periwinkle blue with a subtle lavender shimmer and a shimmery linear holo.  Again, no problems with the formula and the result was a shimmery holo that didn't overpower the periwinkle blue.  Photos show three coats of Secret Keeper with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat.

Crystal Ball

Crystal Ball is a dark grapey purple.  In the bottle this looked like it would be another linear holo but on the nails it definitely looks more like a jelly scatter holo.  I love the squishy look!  This one a slightly more sheer than the other two holo's.  Photos show three coats of Crystal Ball with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat.

Conclusion

Ok, I will admit it, linear holo's are definitely growing on me.  Especially ones like Turn It Off and Secret Keeper where the rainbow-ey holo doesn't completely take over the base colour.  Crystal Ball's scatter holo was definitely a pleasant surprise.  It kind of reminds me of Zoya Aurora but not quite as glittery.  If you want to get your hands on some of these polishes keep an eye on the Glittering Elements facebook page.  The shop is temporarily closed but should be back soon and you'll here about it there first.  I'll be back later this week with Part II of my Glittering Elements review.  Until then, happy polishing!
