Oopsie Daisies Nails Bluebird Swatches & Review

I received my first ever order from Oopsie Daisies Nails a few days ago and I want to share with you the polish I decided to try first, Bluebird from the Flora & Fauna collection.  This polish has a light blue creme base filled with tiny dark copper glitter.  It reminds me of a robins egg.

This polish took three coats to become opaque.  The formula was easy to apply.  This only small issue that I had was that occasionally there was a tiny light blue clump.  I'm not quite sure what this was, maybe blue pigment that didn't blend completely?  These clumps are about the same size as the brown glitter so aren't too noticeable unless you look closely.  Bluebird dries to a satin finish so I added a top coat to shine it up.

Photos show three coats of Bluebird with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat in natural lighting.  Overall I love the look of this polish but I wish those tiny blue clumps weren't there.  I know that it isn't likely that anyone else will notice them but I can feel them when I run my fingers over the polish and they're just annoying me.

I contacted Cathryn at Oopsie Daisies Nails to find out if this was normal for this polish.  She told me it was the mattifying powder that was likely the culprit.  We quickly came to a solution that worked for both of us and I am very happy with the customer service I received.  For moment Bluebird has been discontinued because of the required pigments is no longer available but you can still find many other gorgeous polishes in the Oopsie Daisies Nails Etsy shop.  I think next time I'll just use a thicker top coat to smooth out those little bumps because this polish is still super cute!
