Hello Waffle Cosmetics Visage January 2017 Unboxing & Review

Hello waffle visage January 2017 review

Hello readers,
I'm back on track with my visage reviews, yay! January's box was inspired by the legend of King Arthur and features a mix of finishes and shades. To me, the colours scream spring. Perhaps Christine of Hello Waffle is trying to send mother nature a hint to get this winter weather over with. Let's take a look at this month's goodies.

Glamour Doll Eyes: My First Attempt At An Eye Shadow Review

Hello readers,
Today I have something a little different for you... eyeshadow! Making this post has truly made me appreciate bloggers who review face cosmetics regularly.  Getting pictures I was actually semi happy with was so hard! That being said, let's get on to the actual product.

Bruised!, Lethal, Mushroom and Pinch Of Pixie.
Swatches shown were applied dry over Urban Decay Primer Potion.

I used four Glamour Doll Eyes shadows for this look:
  • Bruised! - a darkened purple with black undertones and gorgeous aqua sparkle.
  • Lethal - a deep taupe base with a purple duochrome.
  • Mushroom - a deep taupe base with a silver duochrome.
  • Pinch Of Pixie - a light silver with purple and blue sparkle.
I applied Mushroom over my entire lid and then added Lethal on the outer corner and in the crease.  I used Pinch Of Pixie on the very inner corners of my eyes and finally used Bruised! wet as a liner on my top lash line.  Here are the results in natural lighting.

I'm really happy with this.  I would call it a smokey daytime look.  The shadows wore very well too.  With UD Primer Potion I didn't experience any creasing.  If you want to get your hands on any of these great shadows you can find Glamour Doll Eyes at:

Glamour Doll Eyes Girl Next Door Blush Review

Hello readers,
Today I thought I'd try something a little different and show you a blush that I recently purchased from Glamour Doll Eyes.  I had heard good things about this indie make up shop and finally cracked when they had a 40% off sale about a month ago.  Since I'm on a bit of a highlighter binge these days the first thing I cracked open was my blush in Girl Next Door.

Girl Next Door is a shimmery light pink with a slight golden sheen.  A little bit goes a long way.  The first time I put way too much on my brush and ended with super reflective cheeks.  Start with a tiny bit and blend blend blend.  You can always add more later if you need to.  Now, I have figured out how to take pictures of polish, but pictures of make up on my face?  That's still a work in progress.  The following pictures show Girl Next Door on my cheeks in natural sunlight.  I did not use any primer or foundation.  The blush was applied directly to my skin and blended with an angled blush brush.

So far I'm really impressed with the product, especially when you consider the price (only $9!).  Considering how little I need per use it will last approximately forever.  I also ordered a bunch of eye shadows.  Let me know if you'd be interested in seeing shadow swatches in a future post.  If you want to get your hands on this awesome blush you can find Glamour Doll Eyes at:
