Today I have four Bee's Knees Lacquer shades that I picked up from Girly Bits Cosmetics' during their black Friday sale to share with you. Let's take a look at swatches.
The Sea God
The Sea God features a deep blurple jelly base filled with small sapphire reflective glitters. The formula was excellent and very easy to work with. I used two coats for full coverage here. This shade does dry to a semi-matter glitter texture, so top coat is recommended for a smooth shiny finish. Photos show two coats of The Sea God with one coat of Seche Vite top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Book & Snake
Book & Snake features a shimmery blue to purple shifting base filled with small green reflective glitters. The formula was nicely pigmented though a bit thick. I had to wait extra time between coats to avoid dragging, though it only took two for full coverage. This shade did dry down to a slightly textured finish so top coat is recommended for a smooth shiny finish. Photos show two coats of Book & Snake with one coat of Seche Vite top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
The True Bride
The True Bride features a deep royal purple jelly base filled with tiny reflect glitters. The formula was nice to work with. I used three coats here but it was so close after two that two may be enough for some. This shade dries to a textured finish so you'll want to add top coat. Photos show three coats of The True Bride with one coat of Seche Vite top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Agent Night
Agent Night features a deep teal-leaning blue base filled with sapphire blue shimmer and small reflective glitters. The formula was excellent and nicely pigmented. I used two coats here for full coverage. The reflective glitters dry down with some texture so top coat is recommended. Photos show two coats of Agent Night with one coat of Seche Vite top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Final Thoughts
I love all of these but if I had to pick a favorite I think it's Book & Snake. You can find Bee's Knees Lacquer on
