Hello readers,
Today I have the final seven shades from my Model City Polish collection to share with you. Let's take a look at swatches.
Clear Skies
Clear Skies features a pale sky blue base filled with scatter holo shimmer and small silver holo flecks. The formula was to work with and nicely pigmented taking two coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Clear Skies with one coat of FingerPaints Neon Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Himalayan Poppy
Himalayan Poppy features a light but bright blue base filled with scatter holo shimmer and tiny iridescent blue flecks. The formula was excellent and took two thin coats for full coverage. It does dry down to a satin finish so top coat is recommended for shine. Photos show two coats of Himalayan Poppy with one coat of FingerPaints Neon Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Electric Lemonade
Electric Lemonade is a saturated cobalt blue shimmer. The formula was excellent and very easy to work with. I used three coats for full coverage here. Photos show three coats of Electric Lemonade with one coat of Girly Bits Cosmetics What A Rush top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Liberty City
Liberty City features a sapphire blue jelly base filled with tiny small silver holo glitters, medium green holo glitters and a sprinkling of white star glitters. The formula was fantastic and quite easy to work with even with all the glitters. Photos show two coats of Liberty City with one coats of Watch Top Glitter smoothing top coat and one coat of Girly Bits Cosmetics What A Rush top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Frozen
Frozen features a sapphire blue scatter holo base filled with small silver holo glitters. The formula was fantastic and nicely pigmented. I used two thin coats for full coverage here. Photos show two coats of Frozen with one coats of Watcha Top Glitter smoothing top coat and one coat of Girly Bits Cosmetics What A Rush top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Cosmic Lovers
Cosmic Lovers features a navy blue scatter holo base filled with tiny gold holo glitters. The formula was nicely pigmented and took two coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Cosmic Lovers with one coat of Girly Bits Cosmetics What A Rush top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
SB11 October 2015
SB11 October 2015 features a navy blue jelly base filled with tiny blue holo glitters, small blue navy hex glitter and a mix of white and silver holo stars. The formula was a little trick to work with. The stars seemed to catch on each other so tended to clump together when brushing them on. I ended up nudging them around to get better distribution. This shade dries down with glitter bumps and needs top coat for smoothing. Final Thoughts
My personal favorites from this round up are Liberty City and Frozen. Model City Polish isn't around anymore so you'll have to keep an eye on destashes if any caught your eye.
Happy polishing,
Michelle
