Hello readers,
Today I have Emily de Molly's upcoming January release to share with you. This collection has a little bit of everything in terms of colour and finish. Let's take a look at swatches.
Birthday Project
Birthday Project is a medium periwinkle blue crelly with copper hex glitters and a mix of hex and square iridescent blue glitters. The formula was easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage. This dries down with some minor glitter bumps so top coat is recommended for a smooth shiny finish. Photos show two coats of Birthday Project with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Heated Discussions
Heated Discussions features a medium red base with flecked gold and pink shimmer along with a fine red-orange magnetic shimmer. The formula was easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage. I applied the first coat normally and then used an arc magnet after the second coat and again after top coat. Photos show two coats of Heated Discussions with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Leave It To Me
Leave It To Me feature a royal purple base with a glowing purple-copper shimmer and small silver metallic flakes. The formula was easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage. This shade dries to a satin finish so top coat is recommended for shine. Photos show two coats of Leave it To me with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Midnight Mermaid
Midnight Mermaid features a cobalt blue base with a strong green shimmer and tons of small blue iridescent flakies. The formula was easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage. The flakies lay smooth on their own but I added top coat out of habit. Photos show three coats of Midnight Mermaid with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Opposite Order
Opposite Order features a sheer mauve-brown based packed with blue to purple shifting flecked foiled shimmer. The formula was super pigmented taking two thin coats for full coverage. This shade dries smooth and shiny on its own but I added top coat out of habit. Photos show two coats of Opposite Order with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Revolving Door
Revolving Door features a dark brown holo base with a burnished gold magnetic shimmer and sprinkling of tiny copper glitters. The formula was very pigmented. If you aren't magnetizing this polish it's a one-coater. Here I used two coats. The first I applied normally and then I used an arc magnet after the second coat and again after top coat. Photos show two coats of Revolving Door with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Trips Abroad
Trips Abroad features a rich sunflower yellow crelly base filled with iridescent flakies and tiny gold glitters. The formula was surprisingly pigmented for a yellow. I used two coats here for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Trips Abroad with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Vexed
Vexed features a pale beige holo with a glowing green shimmer and a sprinkling of small silver holo glitters. The formula was very easy to work with and took two coats for full coverage. This shade dries smooth and shiny on its own but I added top coat out of habit. Photos show two coats of Vexed with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
