Today I have a Matte Velvet polish from Zoya to share with you. Harlow had been on my personal wish list for a long time and when I saw it in the Nail Polish Canada boxing day sale, I finally made it mine.
Harlow features a warm purple base with tons of violet, fuchsia and silver flecks. The formula was very easy to work with and dried in a reasonable time. Sometimes I find matte polishes take forever to fully dry, but that wasn't an issue here. It took two coats to become opaque and dries with a satin finish. A third seemed to make it a true matte. You can see the difference between my index finger with three coats and the rest with two. My accidental denting of the finish on my index finger while it was drying turned out to be informative! Photos show two coats (except for the finger with three coats) of Harlow with no top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
This wore well on me for a matte polish. I got three days before any noticeable tip wear. Though Zoya recommends applying their mattes without a base, I always use my CND Super Sticky since I don't want to risk stained purple nails.You can find Zoya on
