Today I have the first third of the Lucky 13 Lacquer Always Be Yourself collection to share with you. This polishes in this collection are all inspired by the phrase "Always be yourself, unless you can be _______, then always be _______". These polishes all incorporate holo with colour shifting flakes and shimmer. Let's take a look at some of the new shades.

Always Be A Unicorn
Always Be A Unicorn features a pale grey base with holo shimmer and microflakes that shift from blue to pink. The formula was easy to apply and took two coats to become opaque, which I was pleasantly surprised by for such a light shade. Photos show two coats of Always Be A Unicorn with one coat of Girly Bits Cosmetics Glitter Glaze.
Always Be A Mermaid
Always be a mermaid features a teal leaning green base with holo shimmer and tons of microflakes that shift from teal to green to gold. In very shaded lighting you'll also see blue appear at strong angles. The result is very shiny and metallic. The formula was very easy to work with and took two coats to become opaque. This polish dried shiny on its own but I added top coat to extend wear time. Photos show two coats of Always Be A Mermaid with one coat of Girly Bits Cosmetics Glitter Glaze.
Always Be A Phoenix
Always Be A Phoenix features a copper linear holo base with a very strong pink shimmer. This was definitely the most holo out of these three shades. The formula was very easy took work with and took three coats to become opaque. Photos show three coats of Always Be A Phoenix with one coat of Girly Bits Cosmetics Glitter Glaze in daylight spectrum lighting.
Conclusion
So far this is a really solid collection. While I like all three shades, I think Always Be A Unicorn is my personal favorite. The Always Be Yourself collection is available now. I'll be back soon with the remaining shades. You can find Lucky 13 Lacquer on:
OK you know I want Always Be A Unicorn just because of the name but I need the Mermaid one!
