Dotted Chevron Nail Art Featuring Born Pretty Store Chevron Striping Tape

Dotted nail art

Hello readers,
Today I have some geometric nail art to share with you.  I really like chevron patterns, but the cost of nail vinyls can add up so I don't use them that often.  I was intrigued when I saw Born Pretty Store had chevron nail tape and decided to test it out.

The tape comes in three strips - two outer strips with a chevron cut on one edge and a center strip which has the chevron cut on both edges.  The tape itself stick very well but doesn't leave residue when peeling off.  For this look I started with a base of Dance Legend Melange Collection 270.  I Used the two outer chevron strips to tape of a wide chevron down the center of my nail.  Then I dabbed China Glaze Liquid Leather in between the tape strips and peeled them off while the black polish was still wet.  Finally, I used a dotting tool to add dots up either size of each chevron stripe.  Two coats of Girly Bits Glitter Glaze sealed everything up to a perfectly level finish.  Photos were taken in daylight spectrum lighting.

Overall I'm quite happy with this nail tape.  It leaves crisp edges and is a cost saving alternative to chevron nail vinyls.  If you're picking up any nail art supplies from Born Pretty Store make sure to use the coupon code MSTK31 for 10% your order of regular priced items.

Happy polishing,

Michelle
