Hello readers,
Today I have six reflective glitter shades from KBShimmer and Polished For Days that I picked up during the Harlow & Co Black Friday sale. Let's take a look at swatches.
KBShimmer Chill Out
Chill Out features a sky blue base filled with pink-orange-green-shifting shimmer and silver reflective glitters. The formula was nicely pigmented and took two coat for full coverage. It definitely dries down with glitter texture so top coat is a must. Photos show two coats of Chill Out with one coat of Seche Vite top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
KBShimmer Flash Forward
Flash Forward features a blackned base filled with metallic sapphire blue shimmer and silver reflective glitters. Another pigmented two coat formula with this one. I did find this had enough texture that I did need to double up on top coat. Photos show two coats of Flash Forward with two coats of Seche Vite top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
KBShimmer Lounging Around
Lounging Around features a ocean blue base packed with turquoise and shimmer and silver reflective glitters. This one was very pigmented. I suspect if you were careful you could make it work in one coat. I did two hear just to be sure there were no sheer spots. KBShimmer After Midnight
After Midnight features a black base filled with silver reflective glitters. Another two coat formula with this one, drying down to a textured glitter finish. Photos show two coats of After Midnight with one coat of Seche Vite top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
KBShimmer Love You Brunches
Love You Brunches features a lilac purple base filled with a red-gold-green shifting shimmer and silver reflective glitters. I used two coats here for full coverage, and as expected for a reflective glitter needed top coat to smooth out the finish. Polished For Days In The Stars
Polished For Days In The Stars is a topper with a mix of black flakes and silver reflective glitters. I wore it here over Great Lakes Lacquer Community. I found floating my brush a little got me the most even coverage and for the most part prevented dragging the glitters up my nails. Final Thoughts
I'm really happy with the shades I picked out for my black Friday splurge. If I had to pick a favorite I think it's Lounging Around. You can find Harlow & Co on
You can find KBShimmer on
You can find Polished For Days on
Happy polishing,
Michelle
