Hello readers,
Today I'm pulling out all the Nfu Oh flakies from my collection. Let's take a look at swatches.
NFU 37
NFU 37 features a clear base filled with gold pearlescent shimmer and little orange to green shifting flakies. The formula was easy to work with. I used two coats here over a white creme. I did find this did take a little longer to dry down than I anticipated, so just keep that in mind. Photos show two coats of NFU 37 over Sally Hansen White On with one coat of Seche Vite top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
NFU 40
NFU 40 features a clear bae filled with green to blue shifting iridescent flakies. Another easy to use formula. You get decent coverage with one coats but I wanted even more flakies so I added a second. NFU 38
NFU 38 features a clear bae filled with orange to green shifting iridescent flakies. The formula on this one felt somewhat thick. I'm not sure if it was always this way or if it's just a symptom of being a old bottle of polish. Either way I did get good flakie payoff with a single coat as a topper, so it wasn't a huge deal. Photos show one coat of NFU 38 over Zoya Harbor with one coat of Seche Vite top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
NFU 53
NFU 53 features a clear base filled with sapphire blue shimmer and orange to green shifting iridescent flakies. The formula was very easy to work with. I got good payoff with one coat but added a second for even more flakies. Photos show two coats of NFU 53 over Zoya Elliot with one coat of Seche Vite top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
NFU 52
NFU 52 features a dark purple tinted base filled with small green to blue blue shifting iridescent flakies and shimmer. The formula was very easy to work with. I used two coats here for extra flakies, but one coat gave decent coverage too. Photos show two coats of NFU 52 over Zoya Danielle with one coat of Seche Vite top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Final Thoughts
My personal favorites from this roundup are NFU 38 and NFU 53. Unfortunately I think these have all been discontinued, so you'll have to hunt around destashes if any caught your eye.
Happy polishing,
Michelle
