Hello readers,
I'm continuing to swatch my way through my Great Lakes Lacquer collection. Clearly both GLL and I are fans of blue, teal and turquoise. Let's take a look at swatches
I Love Your Lakes
I Love Your Lakes features teal to blue to purple shifting multichrome base filled with small silver holo flecks. The formula was easy to apply and took three coats for full coverage. The little flecks dry down nice and smooth. Photos show three coats of I Love Your Lakes with one coat of Girly Bits Cosmetics What A Rush top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Mystery #6
Mystery #6 features a muted navy based filled with a pink to green shifting shimmer. No issues with the formula and I used three coats for full coverage, though two may be enough for those with shortner nails or a less distinct nail line than me. Mystery #12
Mystery #12 features a mint green crelly base filled with a large particle green to pink shifting shimmer and lime green to blue shifting metallic flakies. The formula was easy to work with and took three coats for full coverage. It did dry down to a satin finish so top coat is recommended for shine. Pam Told Me To
Pam Told Me To features a deep purple base filled with a green to purple shifting shimmer and a hint of scatter holo shimmer. Another great formula that took three thin coats for full coverage. This was one of the goodie bag polished from the 2019 Indie Expo Canada cocktail party. Toronto #15
Toronto #15 features a sapphire blue scatter holo case filled with iridescent flakies in shades or green, blue and purple. The formula applied easily and took three coats for full coverage. Bring Yourself Back Online
Bring Yourself Back Online features a sheer pale blue base filled with a glowing blue to pink shifting shimmer. The formula was easy to work with and I used three thin coats here. In most lighting it looks opaque, though sometimes I do see a hint of my nail lines peeking through. My personal favorites of this round are Pam Told Me To, Bring Yourself Back Online and Toronto #15. You can find Great Lakes Lacquer on
