Zoya Twinkling Collection Swatches & Review

Zoya Twinkling Collection

Hello readers,
Today I have the Zoya Twinkling Collection for Holidays 2019 to share with you. Let's take a look at swatches.

Enza

Zoya EnzaZoya Twinkling

Enza is a light almond creme. The formula was easy to work with and took two coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Enza with one coat of Glisten & Glow H.K. Girl top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Kaede

Zoya KaedeZoya Twinkling

Kaede features a clear base filled with small yellow gold flecks and medium silver holo shard glitters. Unfortunately the formula was awful. Even with a thicker coat it was difficult to get even coverage. The silver shards poked up all over the place after the first coat and it just got worse after the second. The result is a thick gloopy mess that took forever to dry and was still uneven after a very thick coat of top coat. I would skip this one. Photos show two coats of Kaede with one thick coat of Glisten & Glow H.K. Girl top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Tanya

Zoya TanyaZoya Twinkling

Tanya is a vibrant red crelly. This looks like the perfect Christmas red to me. Another excellent pigmented formula that took two thin coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Tanya with one coat of Glisten & Glow H.K. Girl top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Rosa

Zoya RosaZoya Twinkling

Rosa is a vivid fuchsia pink shimmer. It has a slight shift to orange in the bottle but I found this didn't translate to the nail. The formula was easy to work with and nicely pigmented taking two coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Rosa with one coat of Glisten & Glow H.K. Girl top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Sedona

Zoya SedonaZoya Twinkling

Sedona features a burgundy tinted base filled with a strong red to copper shifting shimmer. The formula was excellent and took two thin coats for full coverage. The end result is a rich reddish brown. Though I'm not usually a brown or red polish person, I found this shade quite appealing. Photos show two coats of Sedona with one coat of Glisten & Glow H.K. Girl top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Jen

Zoya JenZoya Twinkling

Jen is a sapphire blue. The formula was excellent and took two thin coats for full coverage. Just a heads up that I did experience a little cuticle staining when I removed it, but it when away within a few hours. Photos show two coats of Jen with one coat of Glisten & Glow H.K. Girl top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Jett

Zoya JettZoya Twinkling

Jett features a frosty silver based filled with tiny silver glitters and medium to large silver flakes. To my eyes, the flakes didn't quite mesh with the rest of the finish and the overall look didn't seem very cohesive. The formula wasn't great either. I found the larger silver flakes tended to clump together when brushed on, and the corners didn't lay flat on my curved nail beds. Photos show two coats of Jett with one coat of Glisten & Glow H.K. Girl top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Final Thoughts

My personal favorites from this release are Tieran, Sedona, Alessia and Jen. I would skip Kaede and Jett based on the formulas. The remaining shades are quite nice if you don't already have something similar in your collection. The Zoya Twinkling Collection is available now. You can find Zoya on

Happy polishing,

Michelle

  1. I am surprised Zoya did not include any green polishes since it is a holiday collection! The only one of this collection that interests me is Sedona -- not a blue or silver lover. Jett looks like a real mess, grandchild of Essie's horror Belugaria from a few years ago.

    1. I hadn't noticed the lack of green, but now that you mention it I think it would have made a nice addition.Sedon is quite pretty. The shimmer has such depth to it. Personally I love blue polish so the two blue shimmers were some of my favorite.
