Today I have Girly Bits Cosmetics' contribution to Hella Handmade Creation's April release to share with you. HHC (formerly Hella Holo Customs) recently switched things up a bit. They used the have two makers per month release a selection of holo polishes. Now, each month will feature more brands releasing a single polish each. The holo restriction has also been removed for more creative freedom. Each brand gets to pick a theme unique to them and will return for several months with a new polish tied to the same theme. Got all that? Let's take a look at swatches of Girly Bits' first Harry Potter inspired polish.
No Fawkes Given (hehe I love sweary puns) was inspired by Fawkes the phoenix, Dumbledore’s animal companion. This polish features a brick red scatter holo base with a golden shimmer and a sprinkling of small holo gold glitters. The formula was easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage. It dries smoothly on its own with an almost shiny finish. If you like your polish glossy, I do recommend a top coat to add shine. No Fawkes Given, along with shades from 11 other makers will be available for pre-sale from April 14th, 2018 at 12:01AM EDT until April 21st at 11:59PM HST (which, according to google is 5:59AM on April 22nd in Eastern time). Note that the turnaround time for this release is three to four weeks since polishes need to make it from makers to the HHC HQ in Hawaii before being shipped out to customers.
