Illimité Winter Nights Trio Swatches & Review

Illimite Winter Nights

Hello readers,
Today I have the limited edition Illimité Winter Nights Trio from Live Love Polish to share with you. This trio features shimmery shades with a bit of sparkle. Let's take a look at swatches.

No Escape

No Escape features a warm coral (cool) to pearly white (warm) thermal shifting base with a strong gold shimmer and small holo glitters and flecks. The formula was quite easy to work with. I used two coats here because I completely forgot it was a thermal when applying it. In its cold state or when it's transitioning two is enough for full coverage. When it is completely it it's warmest white state, my nail line shows through a tiny bit. This dries relatively smoothly on its own but I do recommend top coat of the odd little glitter bump. Photos show two coats of No Escape with one coat of Live Love Polish Quicky Dry Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

The Nihilist

The Nihilist features a medium lilac base with a soft blue shimmer, a sprinkling of silver holo shimmer and small silver holo glitters. The formula was quite easy to apply. I used three coats here, but it was so close after two that if you have shorter nails or a less distinct nail line two may be enough for you. Like No Escape this dried quite smoothly though a coat of top coat is recommended for a perfectly smooth finish. White Night features a sheer milky white base with a strong blue flash, lots of small iridescent glitters and a good dose of silver scatter holo shimmer. The formula was easy to work with though sheer (this is sold as a sheer polish from the get go). I used three coats here and my nail line still shows through a little bit. I think this could also be nice layered over an opaque base colour. Despite all the glitters, this dries quite smoothly and a single coat of top coat in enough to smooth everything out. Conclusion

My personal favorite of the trio is The Nihilist. Overall I was quite impressed with how smoothly all three of these dried even with non-trivial amounts of glitter in the formulas. The Winter Nights Trio is available now sold as a set and individually. You can find illimité and Live Love Polish on

Happy polishing,

Michelle
