Great Lakes Lacquer Indie Expo Canada 2017 Limited Editions Swatches & Review

Great Lakes Lacquer All The Beautiful People

Hello readers,
Today I have the limited edition polishes that Great Lake Lacquer brought to Indie Expo Canada to share with you. Don't worry if you weren't able to get them in person. They will be available on the GLL website for a limited time. Let's take a look at swatches.

All The Beautiful People

All The Beautiful People is a medium pink leaning purple creme with a flecked copper shimmer. I found the formula a bit thick but still workable. However, the formula was also super pigmented. After one coat it was opaque to the eye, though I added a second here just to be safe. If you're not sticking your fingers under bright lightbox lighting, one coat should do it. If you want to thin the formula a bit it would become an easy two-coater. This polish dries to a satin finish so I do recommend a glossy top coat to really bring out that copper shimmer. Photos show two coats of All The Beautiful People with one coat of CND Super Shiney topcoat in daylight spectrum lighting.

The Jewel Of Ontario is a deep teal to blue shifting scatter holo. The formula was very easy to work with and it took two coats to become opaque. Though it dries shiny on its own, I added top coat out of habit. This one is my personal favorite ... because, well ... shiny glowy teal.
