Today I have a selection of skin care staples from Acure Organics to share with you. These certified organic products are effective while still being good for the planet.
Calming Body Lotion
The calming body lotion has soft but noticeable lavender scent. Lavender, well it's not my thing, so this isn't something I would have picked for myself. However, the formula was really nice. It's on the thicker end of the lotion spectrum. Not as thick as a body butter but definitely not runny. It absorbed really easily, which is a must. I shouldn't get a work out trying to moisturize. So, if lavender speaks to you, definitely give this a try. There are three other varieties in their body lotion line if, like me, lavender just isn't for you.
Moroccan Argan Oil
Ok. I'm going to get right to the point. This is my favorite of the three products I tested out. When I saw it was rose scented, I was a bit hesitant since I usually find florals overpowering. The scent is actually really light with some citrus undertones to it. I really like it. On top of smelling good, this stuff is super nourishing. I've been using it on my hands and cuticles since winter isn't the nicest to them. Then I sit there and hold my hands up to my face for a little while because my fingers smell yummy.
Quick Fix Correcting Balm
The quick fix correcting balm has the consistency of a thick salve. Think somewhere in the vaseline spectrum but denser. This does leave a bit of an oily finish on your skin - not surprising since it says argan oil right on the package - so I've been using on my heels it before bed to let it soak in overnight. It has subtle fresh scent that I can't quite narrow down. Something slightly woodsy but slightly sweet too? It smells good whatever it is.
Conclusion
I like using natural products where I can, but I still need them to be effective. I liked all three of these, but my favorite was definitely the argan oil. Cuticle oil is already something I use regularly and this just took it to the next level. The quick fix balm is also something that I see myself using - especially when spring rolls around and my sandals emerge from their winter hibernation. You can find Acure Organics on
