Hello Waffle Cosmetics Visage November 2016 Unboxing & Review

Hello Waffle Cosmetics November 2016

Hello readers,
Today I have Hello Waffle Cosmetic's November visage to share with you. I'm a bit late with this one as it is clearly December, but swatching the Howl lipsticks took over my makeup swatching time for a little while. November was the second anniversary of the visage subscription and was inspired my Joseph Jacob's The Buried Moon. The colour palette features a mix of cool tones, shimmer and sparkle. Let's take a look at what was included.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics visage review

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Beautiful and Shining Highlighting Blush

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Beautiful and Shining blush

Beautiful and Shining is has a rose toned base with a strong blue shimmer. It can be blended out to be more sheer than your typical blush and the contrasting shimmer takes on the properties of a highlighter.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Beneath A Stone Eyeshadow

Beneath A Stone features a medium taupe base with a soft blue shimmer. This reminded me of Essie Comfy In Cashmere, but in eyeshadow form! I recommend using this over primer to really bring out that blue sheen.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Bogles and Horrors Eyeshadow

Bogles and Horrors is a deep mauve leaning taupe. Over primer strong purple undertones came out. I did find this one was a bit patchy and I had to work a bit harder to blend to an even finish.

In the jar Cloak Of Light looks like an off white with pale blue sparkly flecks. Over primer it takes on a completely different look. There's lots of purple shimmer with flecks of lilac and blue. This one definitely benefits from primer to glue down all those little sparkles.

Life's Entropy Matte Lip Theory - Lunar

Life's entropy matte lip theory

This month's guest indie was Life's Entropy, who was also the first ever guest indie for the visage subscription. This is the first time I've had the chance to try this brand though I've heard a lot about their lip theory line. Lunar is a hard to describe shade - a greyed out mauve? A blue toned taupe? I used two coats to get an even finish. You can definitely still see my natural lip colour peeking through which makes this shade lean a little warmer. I'm not quite sure how I feel about this one yet. In some lighting it looks like an edgy nude, in others I feel like it really washes me out. I think I'll have to build up a bit of confidence to wear this out.

Conclusion

I'm really happy with this month's selection. I can definitely see myself using all the Hello Waffle products. Beneath A Stone is my personal favorite this month. I definitely don't own anything like the Matte Lip Theory in Lunar, and even though I'm not quite sure about the shade, it gave me the chance to try out the formula without extra investment. 1. Keep in mind that Hello Waffle will be closing up shop for the holidays on Sunday, but if you can wait, there will be an anniversary sale upon reopening in January. :)
