Revlon Wintermint Swatches & Review

Hello readers,
Today I have a polish from the Revlon Parfumerie collection to show you.  Wintermint is a much cheaper alternative to Deborah Lippmann Mermaid Tail so I had to try it out.

Wintermint features a shiny foil mint green base packed with green micro glitter and small aqua hexes.  The formula was great and went opaque in three coats.  My only issue with this polish is actually with the bottle design.  The round brush handle looks really cute but isn't nearly as easy to hold as a standard tall skinny brush handle.  It takes some getting used to.  Photos show three coats of Wintermint with one coat of HK Girl top coat in natural lighting.

The other thing about this collection is that the polishes are scented.  Wintermint is supposed to smell like, well obviously, mint.  I did notice the smell on the first day of wear but found it faded significantly after that.  Not a big deal to me as I bought it for the colour, not the scent.  I love finding cheaper alternatives to those expensive brands and based on swatch photos I looked at online this one is a great dupe for DL Mermaid Tail.

Happy polishing,

- Michelle
